Pop/Click noise happens on a Windows PC.
Please check the following items:
- Open “Preferences” in the Options menu and click “Hardware” tab. Move “Response” setting toward “Slow” side. This increases latency but not by much.
- If other applications or programs are running, quit them all.
- Set the Windows setting as “Adjust for best performance”.
- Windows XP
- Click “Start” then choose “Control Panel”.
- Click “Performance and Maintenance”.
- Click “System”.
- Click “Advanced” in the “System Properties”
- Click “Settings” button in the performance.
- Click “Visual Effects” tab.
- Click to check “Adjust for best performance”.
- Windows Vista
- Click “Start” then choose “Control Panel”
- Click “System and Maintenance”.
- Click “System”.
- Click “Advanced system settings” in the “Tasks”.
- Click “Advanced” tab.
- Click “Settings…” button in the performance.
- Click “Visual Effects” tab.
- Click to check “Adjust for best performance”.
- Windows 7
- Click “Start” then choose “Control Panel”
- Click “Control Panel”
- Click “System and Maintenance”.
- Click “System”.
- Click “Advanced system settings” in the “Tasks”.
- Click “Settings…” button in the performance.
- Click “Visual Effects” tab.
- Click to check “Adjust for best performance”.
- Windows 8
- Move your mouse pointer to the lower left of the desktop. Your Start button will be displayed.
- Right Click the Start button.
- Click “Control Panel”
- Click “System and Maintenance”.
- Click “System”.
- Click “Advanced system settings” in the “Tasks”.
- Click “Settings…” button in the performance.
- Click “Visual Effects” tab.
- Click to check “Adjust for best performance”.
- Windows XP
